A key component of the evaluation plan is to support evaluation capacity with project partners seeking to develop monitoring and evaluation skills in order to track language revitalization progress.

OBJECTIVE:

The evaluation plan will use a mixed method case study approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods. Given that each of the partnering Nations and/or communities have different goals, objectives, timelines, and skill sets, the mixed method case study approach provides a way to establish generalizable themes arising from each particular case context.

This approach also allows flexibility in examining each of the individual project initiatives within its relevant context in order to provide the most comprehensive perspective on the project as a whole.

NEXT STEPS:

Our evaluation and research team may offer support to communities and organizations to carry out evaluation activities, such as assessments, surveys and information-gathering sessions to meet the needs of their communities. If you would like assistance with either evaluation planning, capacity building and/or training, please contact info@silr.ca.
